Terms of Use
Effective October 18, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Tayibat Foundation ("we" or "us"), which runs MiniAuthors at miniauthors.com, about using MiniAuthors. By using MiniAuthors, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can use MiniAuthors
You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, to have an account. Any grown-up with a Google account can make 3 books free; making more needs a plan (see Plans and payments). Children may use MiniAuthors only with a parent or guardian who has agreed to these terms and who is responsible for how the child uses it.
What MiniAuthors does
MiniAuthors uses artificial intelligence (AI) to write short stories and paint pictures from a child's ideas, written in words a young reader can read. AI can make mistakes: a story or picture may be odd, inaccurate or not what you expected. Please read each book before sharing it with your child.
Our stories follow family content rules (for example, no magic, music, non-Islamic holidays or romance). We check every book against them, but we can't promise that every book will match them perfectly. If one doesn't, please tell us.
Your books and characters
We don't claim ownership of your story ideas, your characters or the books made from them. You may keep, print and share your books for personal, non-commercial use. You give us permission to store, process and display your books and characters, and to send them to the providers that help us run MiniAuthors, as needed to provide the service to you. That includes showing a book to anyone with its link if you share it.
If you use a photo to make a character, you confirm that it shows you, your own child or your pet, or that you have permission from the person in it (for a child, their parent or guardian) and the right to use the photo. We use the photo only to make the character and don't keep it, as our Privacy Policy explains.
Using MiniAuthors responsibly
Please don't:
- use MiniAuthors to make anything unlawful, hateful, violent, sexual, or harmful to children;
- put another person's personal information into a story or character, or use a photo of them, without their permission;
- try to get around our safety checks, or to reach books that aren't yours;
- overload, copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the service; or
- use MiniAuthors for commercial purposes without our written permission.
We may remove content, or suspend access, that breaks these terms.
Plans and payments
Each account can make 3 books free, painted at a lighter picture quality. To make more, choose a plan in the grown-up settings:
- Small: 4.99 US dollars a month, for 8 books a month.
- Family: 9.99 US dollars a month, for 20 books a month.
- Family yearly: 99 US dollars a year, for 20 books each month.
Prices are in US dollars, plus any sales tax the law requires. A book counts when its story starts being written; if making it fails, the book is given back. Each book includes its pictures, up to 10 repaints and up to 3 translations. Books you don't use in a month don't carry over.
Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year and are charged to your payment method until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the grown-up settings under Manage plan. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for.
Payments aren't refunded for part of a period, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong, email support@miniauthors.com and we will look into it.
If we change a plan's price, we will tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you wish.
Payments are handled by Stripe, and card statements show "TAYIBAT MINIAUTHORS". Families we have invited make books free.
Sharing
When you share a book, anyone with its link can read it, and people who are signed in can keep a copy. Only share links with people you trust. You can stop sharing at any time, but copies that others have already kept stay with them.
Our name and app
The MiniAuthors name, logo, dragon character, app design and software belong to Tayibat Foundation. Apart from your own books and characters, these terms don't give you any rights to them.
Changes to the service and to these terms
We may change, pause or stop parts of MiniAuthors, or the whole service, at any time, and we will try to give notice of significant changes. We may also update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and continuing to use MiniAuthors after that date means you accept the new terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using MiniAuthors at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@miniauthors.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or to protect other users.
No warranty
MiniAuthors is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that the service will always be available or free of errors, or that any book will meet a particular standard.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tayibat Foundation is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of MiniAuthors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 Canadian dollars. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Canada in which Tayibat Foundation has its registered office, and by the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of that province have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
